Introducing Phyllis and Alma + General Update

Hello everyone! Just giving an update on what I’m currently working on regarding the project. In this update, I want to introduce you all to two important characters in the story: Lysandra’s younger sister Phyllis and a mysterious seer named Alma. 

Phyllis: Lysandra’s younger sister. She is a sweet and kind girl who seems to care about her older sibling. Lysandra was always jealous of Phyllis for being the favourite child of her father. After their father died, Lysandra moved quickly to take over the Arwell trading company. Now Phyllis acts as something of a secretary for Lysandra. Lysandra often bullies Phyllis, who she sees as too meek and innocent. Phyllis has always warned Lysandra against many of her more risky and exploitative deals, emphasizing the importance of their father’s belief in fairness and charity.

Alma: Not much is known about Alma’s past. She is a mysterious seer who moves from town to town, giving fortune predictions and divining truths people wish to know. Though her readings are often cryptic, she has developed a reputation as someone with a supernatural insight. She offers to sell Lysandra a vision of some potentially profitable information regarding a certain goblin village, though the price of this information turns out to be more than Lysandra bargained for.

I am looking to do voice casting for an upcoming story trailer that will detail these characters and their place in the story more.

More generally, I wanted to give a more detailed breakdown of where I am at regarding the full release of Lysandra and the Goblins. Here is a rough breakdown of the progress so far:

Artwork: 75% Complete

Story and Script: 65% Complete

Voice Recording: 40% Complete

Programming: 30% Complete

I think I’ve been overly optimistic in the past about how quickly the full game would be finished because this is my first game and I didn’t really appreciate how difficult and time-consuming it would be, or how real life would throw obstacles in my way. Instead of giving overly optimistic predictions I’m going to try and give updates every month or two instead to keep you all informed about the progress! Over the next few months, I am also going to be looking into getting the VN on Good Old Games and Steam. I’ll keep you guys in the loop as much as possible.
